BRENT IMPACT CRATER – Aerial Exploration

BRENT IMPACT CRATER AERIAL EXPLORATION

AERIAL EXPLORATION (VIDEO) OF THE BRENT IMPACT CRATER 2009 AND 2010   in my Cessna C177B – C-GOZM (GOZooM).

The visual “bowl” shape of the Brent crater is accentuated in this low altitude image taken from GOZooM.
A winter view of the Brent crater taken from the east-south-east at about 4000′ AGL. Lake Nipissing is visible 75 km away on the horizon. Glaciers entered the crater from the right (north) in this image.
The Brent crater imaged from the south clearly shows the remnant of the northern rim.
The Brent crater from my airplane, GOZooM, from about 3000′ AGL. Glaciers sculpted the area between the two lakes with a “ripple” superimposed on the landscape.
